Security Concerns

When using the URL GET method for API calls, the API key is included as part of the URL. Please be aware that this approach has some security considerations:

Proxy servers within your network may log or cache these calls, potentially exposing the API key.

Our servers maintain logs of parameters used in GET requests as part of standard website logging practices.

For enhanced security, you may prefer to use SOAP calls to access the API. With SOAP, the API key is included in the request body rather than the URL, reducing the likelihood of it being logged or cached by intermediate systems.

Always treat your API key as sensitive information and avoid sharing it unnecessarily. If you suspect your API key has been compromised, generate a new one immediately through the user management interface.
